Appointment of new Chief Executive

The Creative Kernow Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of a successor to Ross Williams, the charity’s Chief Executive who is retiring at the end of this year after 29 years. Under his leadership, the company has grown from its beginnings as a popular campaign set up to save Truro’s old City Hall in the 1980s into Cornwall’s key creative sector support organisation with 40 staff and a turnover of £2 million a year.

Dr Fiona Wotton has been a member of the senior management team at Creative Kernow since 2014 running Cornwall 365, the cultural destination programme and popular What’s On events listings platforms. Prior to joining Creative Kernow, she built up a successful track record in charity work including management roles with Tate St Ives, the University of East London and Macmillan Cancer Care. Fiona is a director of Cornwall Wildlife Trust and a primary school governor.  She was awarded a Clore Fellowship in 2018.

Fiona will take up the post of Chief Executive at the beginning of November.
