November’s NPO funding announcement

After a tense wait, we were awarded the happy news on Friday 4th November that Creative Kernow had been invited to join the Arts Council National Portfolio for the period 2023 – 2026. This funding will support our vision to enrich and energise creative communities all over Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.  It will support the FEAST grants programme, Carn to Cove’s rural touring activity and C Fylm’s network of community film clubs.  This investment, along with Cornwall Council funding, will help us along the way to achieving the targets of our Strategic Plan; nevertheless, we continue to rely on actively fundraising in order to enable Creative Kernow to be the regional catalyst for transformative social and economic change powered by creativity.

We would thank Arts Council England for endorsing our vision and work for another three years, and to the fantastic Creative Kernow team for their tireless efforts during the process of submitting our application.

We also send solidarity to other Cornwall-based companies who received disappointing news that they had not secured funding. We are proud to be part of a Celtic region with such a rich seam of creativity, curiosity, and innovation running through it, and hope that all of us in the Cornish creative and cultural sector carry on being supported and enabled to do what we do brilliantly – serving our communities and audiences.
