Nine Artys Bosvena Projects Announced for Flamm 2026
Creative Kernow is pleased to announce nine community-focused projects joining Flamm 2026, supported through FEAST’s pilot place-based grant, Artys Bosvena.
Flamm is a visual art-led event that brings internationally and nationally significant work to Cornwall, supports the development of ambitious new work by locally based artists, and engages communities and visitors through a multi-layered programme of exhibitions, screenings, performances and events.
Following its pilot edition in Redruth in October 2023, Flamm will take place in Bodmin from 28th February to 1st March 2026, with the theme [Dis]Location. The festival will continue to evolve as an annual or biennial event, moving across Cornwall with a new location and theme for each iteration.
Artys Bosvena is a new FEAST grant programme for Bodmin, developed as part of Flamm 2026. It supports creative projects shaped by Bodmin’s communities and rooted in the town, with a focus on work that brings people together, reflects local experiences, and has a positive impact for those who live in Bodmin.
The supported Artys Bosvena projects are:
• HERE by Alexander Prynne – an immersive work exploring neurodivergent safe spaces.
• Bodmin Speaks – an interactive story-sharing experience led by Bodmin Open Circle & Kaleigh Barclay.
• No Rules, Just Words with Robert Gillett – community poetry workshops and performance.
• Dislocated Dresser with Carlos Zapata & Discovering 42 – family automaton-making fun!
• Kinsman Ticket Tapestry by Hannah Jacobs with Kinsman Estate – collective collage about journeys.
• Re:Rooted by Small Acts x Kitty Hillier with KBSK – moving sculpture, dance and navigation through Bodmin.
• The Storybook of Bodmin with Amanda Young & SkillSHARE – walk-in story installation celebrating personal narratives.
• Brickfield Bodmin by Rosanna Martin & Tim Hutton – make your own Bodmin clay brick.
• Woven Voices: The Bodmin Dress Project by Rebecca Wood & Elaine Foster-Gandey – a community textile artwork weaving stories and memories.
These projects will be developed over the coming period and presented as part of Flamm 2026’s wider programme in Bodmin.
